Ground Floor Description Swaflo13

The ground floor has three entrances; there is a "front" door, opposite the building from the doors in the walls. There are two "back doors". One of the back doors is of average size, and the other is a garage door that could easily fit an articulated lorry. The garage door is directly across from the walls doors, allowing for fast and easy loading of vans to the garage.

The front door, which does not require a chip scan to open, leads to an office. The office is tidy but a bit beat up. It looks like a working office. There is a desk with a simple computer on it. A clock to check in the time in and out of work sit on the walls. By the door, there is a poster reminding people to take precautions and wear eye protection. There is a locker, and inside there are a few navy blue Seoul Waste Away uniforms. If those are pushed to the side, a basic turret is hiding in there. It is the only sign that this is not a normal office.

The door requires a chip scan and a code to get through. Past there, the building opens up into a warehouse. There are four large vats with open tops. Plastic 35L storage containers line the walls, mostly empty and unlabelled, and racks that go up to the second level. There's steps to the first floor, which leads to an open, railing-lined platform that allows access to the tops of the vats. There are two doors, one leading back to the office and one leading further into the warehouse.

The latter door leads deeper into the warehouse. Here it opens into Waste Away Proper. There are a set of stairs to the right, leading up to the first floor. The fireman's pole stops here, just to the left of the computer. The massive rig is set up along the walls, server cases set up like closets. Black metal boxes curl around the desk and monitors. Wires tangle with the blue glowing cooling pipes, making the space between sections of the rig glow with ethereal light. There are spaces for two modules. Both are filled.

Behind the computer is a wall which glows a soft white. The whole wall is a massive holowindow, like a movie theater screen, big enough to see from the second floor and able to be hooked up to any device. When inert, which it often is, it glows enough to light up the room. Next to the rig, nestled among the glowing blue boxes, is a small child's bed, like the top half of a bunk bed. The sheets are patterned with smiling robots.

There is a meeting table just past the rig, with enough seating for eight. There are spiral stairs going down into the Armoury, and a lift as well.

Under the stairs there is an area sectioned for containment, but there are not cages yet.

Three doors lead of the room. One leads to a medical bay. One half is set up to deal with normal day to day problems. The back half of the room is a sterile operating theater. It it not very well stocked, yet.

The door on the opposite site of the room from that leads to a workshop and lab space. There is lots of room to set up various equipment and testing machines, but it's pretty empty now. When Sosie isn't carrying her mechtronics kit with her, it's kept in here.

The door to the middle leads to a training room. This is the only room in the house with a soft floor. The training room has some padded equipment, a mirrored wall, and some weapons racks. It has a door leading to the garage, which is a large space made for one purpose: holding cars. It can fit an articulated lorry, two mungos, a compact car, and maybe a motorcycle all at once.

The lab has two complete mechtronics toolkits for anyone to use.

The surgery has one full cybernetics toolkit, presumably for a trained cyberneticist to use.

There is now an incinerator in the 'warehouse' bit of the warehouse. It's big enough and hot enough to destroy all kinds of evidence, bodies hazardous waste.

Bell's "Room":

Hidden among the metal cases and computer arrays, tucked just to the side of the holoscreen, is a small bed. The sheets and pillowcases are blue, complete with a fuzzy blue and green blanket with smiley robots on the. The bed is just big enough for Bell to stretch out almost completely spread eagled. A metal frame surrounds the bed, supporting a lamp to give more light if needed. The ends and inside of the "room" extend beyond the edges of the bed. The head and foot of a bed both have shelves and cubbies for Bell to place her belongings. One of them has several leads, most of them X-pin. The space to the side of the bed is empty and big enough to give Bell some room to spread out and work on a non-bed substance. The floor of the side can pop up to reveal a large drawer; here is where Bell keeps her clothes.

There is a ladder to get up and down from the bed, though it stops on top of the main base of the computer, requiring someone to climb up that before getting up to the bed. Should the stairs be removed, the only way to get up and down from the bed is by climbing on the rig itself.

There is a large matte black curtain that Bell can pull across the front of the bed. Unless you know what you're looking for, the computers around the bed and glowing blue lights make it very hard to spot.

Throughout Week 12, Sosie spends most of her time in the surgery doing.. something.. with Pinkie. Deliveries occur all week, and sometimes she follows a uniformed dude into the surgery. There are the sounds of installation, beeps, chemical smells and lots of empty boxes being recycled. Glass and plastic boxes show up at one point. Lights are installed. Monitors, holowalls, and scanning equipment, medical looking things on wheels.. All of them show up and find places.

Week 13 is becomes obvious that the simple med lab has been transformed into a state of the art surgical and diagnostic suite of above most hospitals' quality. There are three rooms now: a doctor's office type diagnostic area, filled with screens and scanners, a padded table, and various machines of sterling quality and strange purposes. The back wall has a fume hood, standard mad science shelves and tubes and various liquids, as well as a rack of clear plastic cages which will probably be used for SCIENCE. There's a large jack in the wall for plugging in most scanning equipment to the house network.

The second room is small, in between the doctor's office and the surgery. It is a standard scrub room, with toilets, sinks, and space to get changed. There are several sets of scrubs in various sizes, though most of them are tiny for the tiny resident doctor.

The third room is an elaborate and avant-garde surgery. It has anything and anything a surgeon/cyberneticist could want. Since none of you are surgeons or cyberneticists, just know it's awesome, brightly lit, clean, and carries an air of professional quality.

After Dusty's "birth" in Week 18, he reclaimed part of the rig as his own. Moving and pushing a few of the large computer cases out of the way, Dusty has cleared a small 10 by 10 space. There's a decent sized bed with rig hookups on the pillow, as well as a desk with a chair, and a set of drawers. A holowall hangs off of one of the rig boxes, displaying views of the compound. Some parts of the rig couldn't be moved, and Dusty has used them as impromptu shelves and chairs. There are very few decorations, but his chest displays the golf balls in a stand. On his bed is his turret body and his soft and squishy ball from Darya. A postcard from Shanghai sits on the "wall" behind the desk.

The "door" is marked off with a curtain, and going into his room involves picking your way around parts of the rig. The lights in it are normally off unless he is in, and they are not visible form the main floor. Unless you know where his bedroom is, it would be very hard to find.
