Week 28: Darya and Pinkie Sparring.

Darya stood in the training room, waiting for Pinkie to either arrive or to become visible if she was here but hiding. In her right hand she was twirling a training sword. Her shoulders were tense, she was obviously stressed, and occasionally she'd preform some warm up exercises as she waited for her housemate to appear.

*Pinkie entered the training room without ceremony or stealth, although she did rub at her right wrist. Pinkie felt the her mind twist as she forced one of her abilities to manifest, although outwardly nothing happened. She walked quickly toward her housemate, but in a curve so that she would end up about a foot away from Darya with the centre of the room between them. Pinkie felt that she had plently of tricks with which to catch the bounty hunter off guard, but I do need this to be a real challenge, not an even contest, so I will let you have the advantage. This time. Coming to a halt, Pinkie finally looked at Darya and bowed slightly, the expression on her face unchanging. As Pinkie straightened, there was an inexplicable Ossi knife in her left hand and she was drawing a shortsword from a scabbard at her left hip. Besides which, I need to practise with this. The dragon hilted short sword. Retrieved by Sosie in the Cage and gifted to Pinkie, glinted evilly in her right hand. While it had already served her well, the opportunity to test the blade further caused the edges of Pinkie's lips to twitch upwards, as she finished straightening. Pinkie allowed Darya only enough time to retrieve a weapon of her own, then struck.

((OOC: This is where it gets fun; Free action: bite, AT: 15 D's defence penalty: 5. Roll: 10 = on the dot. 8 damage.
Now the blades AT: 11 for dual wielding penalty, at 6 with Darya's defence.
Ossi Knife, rate 1, roll: 15. Rate 2, roll: Double ones... OUCH! (d4+str)x2. 13x2= 26 damage. Rate 3, roll: 7, so close.
Shortsword! Rate1, Roll: 8, nope. rate2, Roll: double 9, fail. Rate 3, roll: 10, fail.
I'm very interested in how close to being unconcious Darya is.))

The distraction had worked as expected and Pinkie's lung forward was rewarded by sinking her teeth deep into Darya's shoulder. Pinkie pulled back quickly slashing at Darya wildly with her blades, as much an attack of desperation as a distraction from the target she must have just presented. Pinkie had expected all of her blows to be easily parried, blocked, deflected or to miss entirely after that, but no her sweep up the length of Darya's torso with her incredible Ossi knife had left a much greater gash than she could have normally expected, or dared hope to make. Distracting the opponent with too many blows certainly seems to leave openings.. I wonder how well that could be exploited? All she had to do now was battle off Darya's retaliation.*

Darya's eyes widened at the ferocity of Pinkie's attack, particularly when the knife caught her across the stomach, (7 HP left), before they narrowed once again. So, that's how Pinkie wanted to play it then?

Stepping back, Darya brought her hands down, dropping her staff, before grabbing a pair of handcuffs from her belt and leaping forwards at Pinkie. Her momentum allowed her to drag the other agent down to the floor, slapping the cuffs on her. (Restrain training, AT 12 +2, rolled a 4, pass by 10. Pinkie passes by 5. Pinkie is restrained).

*Pinkie's expression changed from slightly wary to utterly unamused as Darya just plowed her into the ground and applied handcuffs. Making sure that Darya could see her face Pinkie gave a small smug smirk before rolling her shoulders, arched her back and turned her elbows inwards, concentrating her strength on forcing the cuffs to brake apart in the middle. The smile promptly vanished as Pinkie failed to brake the cuffs, returning to the unamused expression, which was if anything slightly more sobre. Having to keep hold of both of her weapons had meant that she could not turn her wrists at the angle she needed for her trick to work. So Pinkie twisted, forcing the power to flow, burning as brightly as she could make it, feeling slightly less than entirely satisfied at such a petty act of reprisal. A smile green fire appeared around Pinkie's hair, before earthing like lightning into Darya's head. ((8TE spent, take 6 damage before armour))*

Darya staggered back as she took slightly more damage from Pinkie's mind (3 damage after armor, 4 HP left), before pulling out her psi-cuffs and slapping them on Pinkie's wrists above the other pair. Having done this, she pulled back, reaching for the short sword that Warrick had given to her.

*The unamused expression was now engraved in Pinkie's face, and didn't look like it was going anywhere anytime soon, but she followed Darya with her eyes, her movements through the floor and the sounds Darya made as she moved. Pinkie perceived Darya. Her voice was low but steady, bordering on the monotonous.*

Miss Demeter, you have the next six seconds to remove these cuffs or I will be forced to view this as a sexual solicitation and act accordingly.

Darya, for her part, just looked confused. She picked up a medpack and stabbed herself with it, before turning back to Pinkie. "What? Why would handcuffing someone be sexual?" she asked, geniunely seeming bemused as she pulled out a set of keys from her belt. "Just hold still, and I'll get them off." she said, walking towards Pinkie.
