Moon Boxing Rules and First bout of Round 1
Near the middle of the crater a small square area has been roped off for use as a boxing ring. It is fairly small and flat, so while there is room for manoeuvring there is nowhere to hide. By this point in history the phenomenal regeneratory powers of agents saw a re-emergence of bare knuckle boxing as favourite sport of millions. With modern medical and cybernetic technology the issues of safety have been removed, and as the sport has grown up alongside the re-development of gladiator combat injuries are seen as part of the fun. Today’s competition has an interesting twist: It’s in space!
Event specific rules:
1. No personal armour allowed. – This is a boxing match and thus traditionally takes place with minimal clothing. For the purposes of this event all competitors must wear designated full manoeuvrability space suits which provide 1 AV.
2. No low blows. – This isn’t a wrestling match. I want to see two people beating each other into unconsciousness fairly. No tripping, no crippling blows and only use fists to attack with.
3. No invisibility. – This comes under the general rule of no personal items, but just in case people were thinking of it or have an invisibility cybernetic this is not a competition of stealth.
4. Don’t kill your opponent. – This one should go without saying, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
System:
This is going to be a fight as per the normal fight rules and using normal unarmed combat mechanics. The rules for unarmed strikes are on p39 of the core rule book and the rules on Withdrawing from combat, Vital strike and Aiming all apply. The only modification to the rules for this game is that as both combatants are armed only with fists a person is able to use the block action against a similarly disarmed opponent.
First a competitor steps up, posts his Defence score and rolls initiative. Then a challenger may approach that person and do the same. Both competitors start a small distance away from each other so at least a half action will have to be spent moving up to an opponent. Each fighter will be issued with an IV medpack, which is not to be used voluntarily. The winner is the person who knocks the opponent down to 0 Hit points or fewer, in which case their medpack kicks in and they
are declared the looser.
After a match the next pair of fighters can take to the ring until there are no more competitors and the winners of that round are matched up against each other in the next round, until there is one clear winner. Start the first round in this thread and if a second pair wish to fight while the first thread is going on then start a new thread and clearly label it as part of the boxing event.

Defence 5. Reflexes+2=10.
Darya stood in the ring, slightly nervously. She hadn't done any hand to hand training since her sparring session with Pinkie, before she...she hadn't done any for a while, and she knew that some people were better at it than her and also, again, more cyberized than her, but she may as well give it a shot anyway. She hopped on her feet slightly as she waited for a challenger.

Due to general discussion about issues with the rules for this event it has been posponed until I can work out a points based system of combat. For a potentialy more interesting event please have a look at the MMA event.
