MMA: Round 1, Darya vs. Parvarti

Darya stood at the side of the arena, casually hopping from foot to foot. She was wearing some armour she had brought in Lunas colony, and by her side was her UIG hybrid sword and a katana, also purchased recently. Rather than drawing them however, she was instead spinning two handcuffs around her fingers, looking around slowly. This wasn't really her best field, but she was sure she could at least put up a fight.

Parvati stepped forward, she took a few moments checking that the sword and taser she was carrying were both okay. She sat and meditated for a few minutes before standing and stepping forward.

As Parvati entered the ring, Darya began to circle her friend, trying to work out the best way to go about this. Parvati wasn't as physically built as most agents, but she didn't have her psi-cuffs and Parvati may have some tricks up her sleeve for dealing with restraints. Putting her handcuffs on her belt, she slowly edged closer to Parvati, drawing her short sword as she did so.

Parvati draws her own blade and balances back on her heels her eyes watching Darya intently as she strikes out at Darya's blade trying to knock it from her hand with a telekinetic blast. (At: 18, rolled: 5)

Darya's sword spun out of her hand, clattering to the floor near Parvati. (Str+End=12, -4 penalty due to TK, AT=8, rolled a 9, failed by 1.) Frowning, she drew her katana and, gripping it tightly, closed the distance between them and swung at Parvati. (Agi+CC=14, - 4 defense, AT = 10, rolled a 5, rolled max damage, 15 damage, rolled 92 on random severing table, torso, didn't do enough to sever.)

She drew the blade back out of the other woman, surprised at how deep the blow had gone.

Parvati fell backwards at the wound but she didn't pause and started to mutter (at:18, rolled: 15) and the wound closed slowly, faint black lettering visible through the cut in her clothing [Activate lvl 8 Biokinesis, heal back to full health, TE=69]

She stands and brings up her sword focusing on tracking Darya's movements now and in the future (at: 18, rolled 9) and focuses [free action Prescience 7, TE=55]

Darya frowned as Parvati's wound healed over. This was going to be a long battle, and she had a feeling that the other agent would be able to outlast her...but still, she may as try. Stepping sharply, she swung her weapon down, catching Parvati's shoulder. (AT 14-4=10, rolled 10, XS 0, damage=13)

Twisting the sword in her hand, she swung upwards again, cutting into Parvati at around waist height. (AT 14-4=10, rolled 10, XS 0, damage = 13)

Parvati grunted and stepped back before turning and whirling her blade, turning at the last moment to avoid the Block that Darya was throwing up and striking below it (AT: 12, Rolled 5. Damage: 10) Her blade Biting deep into Darya's Thigh.

A second turn and the sword flicked up and under darya's blade. (AT: 12, Rolled 3. Damage: 11) She caught the agent just under her Elbow and stepped in dragging her blade up darya's arm.

A third stroke at Darya's Back (At: 12, Rolled 10. Damage: 10) and her blade hit home.

Focusing she drew her power around her (At: 18, Rolled 10. Activated Psi armour, TE: 51) and a grey sheen covered her clothes for a moment as she brings her sword back up.

Darya's armour halved the damage that Parvati's sword did to her, but she still had her health halved by the blow. Pulling back, she frowned slightly at Parvati's new power before smiling. "Never seen that one before." She said, conversationally, switching her grip on her katana.

She stepped into a stab with the sword, but she over-telegraphed it, allowing Parvati to easily parry the blow, along with the second blow she tried get in. (AT 10, rolled 18 and 13)

"Its not much use" Parvati says her sword held loosely for the moment "In full on Melee's and its too short duration for most fights. Eats through my Energy."

As she speaks she side steps and strikes at Darya's side (AT: 5, Rolled 16. Miss) but the blow went wide.

A second turn and she strikes down at Darya's Hip (AT: 5, Rolled 5. Damage: 10), her blade biting flesh. she brings her blade back up but meets only Darya's Blade (Rolled 17).

She focuses maintaining the armour as she focuses on what is to come (At: 18, rolled 11. Remaining TE: 35)

Darya carried on talking even as she stepped in for another blow, swinging at Parvati's shoulder but slightly missing as the other woman swayed slightly to the side. "What does it do then?" she asked, having never seen it before. "Some kind of close form shield?" (Failed her int+sci roll)

As she said this, her blade came up and sliced Parvati's chest. (AT 10, rolled 8. Damage: 13)

A whirl of silver grey silk whirled away from where Parvati was hit and faded into nothingness as she fell to the floor and the IV medpak did its work, Its activation triggering the signal that Darya had won the competition.

Coming around Parvati pulled herself up to her elbows "Armours me, but it drains Energy pretty much constantly. Its not particularly strong but okay in a pinch" She focuses deeply (AT: 18, rolled 9. Biokinesis 10 and full healed, remaining TE: 25) "Do you want a hand with those wounds?" She offers freely.

Darya reached out and offered the other woman a hand up. "If you could fix me up, that would be great." She smiled and glanced at what Parvati was wearing. "May be it would be easier for you to buy some armor?" she asked, patting what the armor she was wearing.

Parvati smiled Standing with Darya's help and focused (AT: 18, rolled 10. Activate Biokine Biokinesis Lvl 10: Healed Darya 20HP. Remaining TE:5). Darya's wounds close with almost frightening speed and the air was filled with the smell of Lotus blossoms from the preponderance of power, both Darya and Parvati's bodies would be covered with black writing in Hindi surrounding everywhere where a wound had closed.

"Possibly, But this doesn't show up on any scanners and can never be taken away from me. Also I can't form it around other armours, not entirely sure why its just a bit of a blind spot." She says with a shrug "And to be honest, I've almost never come under fire anyway..."

"Well, it's alright for some, isn't it?" Darya said as Ace came into the arena to congraluate her. Her tone was light and jokey, and as they left the arena she threw her arm around Parvati's shoulders. "I might get you some anyway. Just in case Han isn't in the way."
