Looking for a sparring partner

Hey all, just wondering if any of you were interested in getting some sparring in? I generally do bladework, but I'm not bad unarmed, either. and sparring is always more fun with a partner right?

What kind of level of skill are you? I know only a little combat skill with the blade, but am very interested in training further and this seems a good opportunity. Besides, it will be good to meet up with another Agent while we're not on a mission. Do tell me if you're interested - if not, perhaps we could come up with some sort of training arrangement?

I'm a pretty good, as it goes. I've spent nearly as much time working on my blade work as I have refining my skill with Tactical weaponry or supra-legal activities.

The Ai-Jinn train their agents pretty well for Close Combat... I'm sure we can arrange some time in the following weeks to work on combat and whatnot, and I like to know the people watching my back on missions, and I've always found sparring to be a great trust builder

I expect I could use some training if you're willing. It's an area that was mostly left out of my previous assignments.

I like the idea of you guys sparring and helping each other out with training and it makes sense for you to benefit from it. Therefore I propose the following system to enhance training when agents dedicate their downtime to close combat training:

Sparring is between two people

When sparring with someone with a higher close combat skill, the person with the higher close combat skill gains 2XP as normal and the person with the lower combat skill gains 3XP.

When two people with the same combat skill spar, both gain 3XP.

Training is performed between a 'master' (close combat skill 7+) and up to 4 'students' who are at least 2 levels below the master in combat skill.
The master only gains 1XP for the downtime
Each student gains up to 4 XP, capped at the amount needed to advance 1 level

If someone has a close combat training and close combat skill 8+ then they can train one student in that combat training, if they meet the prerequisites. This grants 3XP towards the 10XP of the training per week. Only one student can be trained like this per week, not 4.

Has anything come of this or are we abandoning the idea. It would be good if we could coordinate this properly.

I think that some of us are doing it with each other. I'm away this week, so I can't train with anyone, but if I have a free week I'll make a note of it here.

Well, I'd certainly like to sharpen my skills a little, it's been a while since I gave the ol' bat a swing. I'm not sure when I'll have time, though - it depends on much money I get my hands on to go off buying expensive things.

Well, if anyone wants some training this week, I'm more then willing to offer either training or sparring. Just give me a shout.
