The Mirai Anti-Grav Pack is a large backpack which contains a low power anti-grav generator and three dimensional control system. The pack allows the user to hover unsteadily in position without any control input or penalties to act, but moving requires an Agility + Piloting roll. Failing this roll causes the user to crash into a nearby obstacle and take damage using the Ramming rules (Core, page 149). You cannot move and act in the same round.
Version 1.0 is the first publicly released 'jetpack' with anti-grav capability and there are still many problems with the design that need to be overcome. The control system is difficult to use, the pack has a relatively low speed and the low EMPS is a cause for concern in most combat situations.
The Anti-Grav Pack has 20 HP and 2AV, so it can take a couple of shots before it becomes inoperable. Targeting the jet pack with a called shot has a -2 penalty.
The Anti-Grav Vehicle license is required to own and use this equipment.
