Cyberlin Trial by Combat Rules Empty Cyberlin Trial by Combat Rules

Post  Admin Mon Mar 25, 2013 9:12 pm

The UIG has issued the following guidelines for solving the territorial dispute in Taiwan by cyberlin combat. The rules were reached after negotiations with each of the major Corporations, but none of the minor corporations or independent political bodies.

Decision Making Process
A voting council made up of recognised Corporation leaders will preside over the battle and make decisions when required. The following groups will put forward a single representative for this council:
  • UIG
  • Eurasia Incorporated
  • Shi Yukiro
  • Comoros
  • Western Federation
  • Ai Jinn

In the event of a tie during a vote, the decision will be referred to an artificial intelligence created by the UIG specifically to be an impartial judge.

Location
  • The trial by combat will take place in an arena measuring 25km x 25km x 2km and with no authorised human presence.
  • No other vehicles may enter the arena during the combat. If a vehicle interferes with the battle then a vote will be held to determine if the combat can continue.
  • Parties located outside of the arena cannot influence the combat. This includes orbital bombardment.
  • Only registered pit crew can communicate with the cyberlin pilots during combat.

Cyberlins
  • Each entrant in a combat may submit a single vehicle to represent their interests. The vehicle can only have one pilot.
  • After each combat the voting council will decide if a vehicle can be considered 'fitting' for the battle. Vehicles that attempt to circumvent the spirit of the contest rules may be punished. (For example, additional remotely controlled vehicles that separate from the main body of a cyberlin)
  • Vehicle security is the responsibility of the entrant, not the UIG or voting council.

(( OOC Note: More rules may be added as issues are discovered and problems arise. The EI helped author this set of rules, and they are the masters of loop holes, so it should be pretty tight in most cases. ))
