News Reports for Week 4
Seoul Reconstruction Effort Attacked
A building in the UIG Reconstruction zone in Seoul Old City was rocked by an explosion late Saturday evening. Keng's noodle restaurant was attacked by unknown assailants using a rocket launcher in a drive by shooting. An unmarked van pulled up to the small, independent retailer before firing upon the store and escaping at high speed through the city. A UIG response team was unable to track the van. There were no fatalities and one man, the owner of the store, is in a critical condition in Old Seoul General Hospital.
The UIG suspects that inter-Corporate violence is to blame for the attack and has appealed for witnesses and information. The Eastern bank is still in a state of high alert after a number of terrorist attacks in the last three weeks.
Madrid Spire Underswell Temporarily Evacuated
The Madrid Spire City underswell was evacuated on Saturday afternoon when a problem with a gas supply line was detected. The EI have stated that the problem is linked with an earlier gas explosion that demolished a warehouse last week but have also said that the evacuation was a precautionary measure. A major gas leak was detected at a construction site in the underswell, but was stopped before any damage could be done.

Second Terrorist Attack in Shanghai in Three Weeks
A bomb has been detonated on the Shanghai Skybridge, causing a huge delay to travel across the Pacific. The bomb is believed to have been inside a Mongo van rented from a local business. The UIG has not released any details about the bombing except that there are believed to be no casualties and that the Skybridge will be repaired sometime within the next week. A temporary diversion and anti-grav transports are being used to allow travel across the damaged bridge section.

AMS to launch new "Jupiter" range of galvanic weapons
AMS have announced that they will be launching a new range of galvanic weapons in Q2 of the year. The "Jupiter" range of weapons will be announced and demonstrated at the Proposed Ammunition Expo West (PAX West) in Los Angeles on March 16th.
AMS spokesperson Pete Adams said that this range "Represents a giant leap in production techniques and blast calibration. The research being done at our new Jupiter orbital research station is of the highest calibre and AMS is pleased to announce these new products ahead of schedule."
Stocks in AMS increased slightly at the news that the Jupiter research station is all ready producing viable data, after early reports had cast doubt on the station management and research capabilities.
