Super Earthquake Strikes! Japan Flattened!
A colossal earthquake occurred at 5pm, Saturday <Week 25>. The scale of the quake was much larger than any other recorded earthquake from modern times and struck off the east coast of Japan at a known fault line that had been quiet for over two centuries. The sea bed in this area changed height by up to 20m over less than a minute. Almost every inhabited area of Japan was swamped by an enormous tsunami which levelled everything in its path.
The Shi Yukiro have released a statement that their citizens were kept safe in what the other corporations have called 'underspires'. Any attempts by other corporations to enter Shi Yukiro territory without permission will be taken as a hostile act.
The Ai Jinn report that they have not been asked to provide construction services to Japan, so it appears that the Shi Yukiro are attempting to rebuild their nation without any outside help.

Eastern Bank Coastline Hit by Tsunami
The Ai Jinn defensive seawall, designed to protect the nation from tsunami and submarines, was overcome by the tsunami that wiped out Japan. Coastal areas were inundated with a wave 3m high. Early warning systems were effective in all of the populated areas, and the death toll is thought to number no more than 2000. Coastal ports and industrial areas were damaged, but repairs are under way and expected to be relatively swift.
