WF State Funeral Held for Col. Harvey Shepard
The pilot of the WF's cyberlin during the world's first Cyberlin Deathmatch has been named as Colonel Harvey Shepard of the 2nd WF Tank Battalion, known as the "Iron Horses" based in North Carolina. A state funeral with full honours was held in Washington DC at which the deceased was described as "A fine example of Western Federation dedication to duty, honour and courage." by the head of the WF armed forces on the WF East Coast. Colonel Harvey Shepard is survived by three children and his wife, Gloria Shepard, who has asked that the media show restraint and respect for her family during this difficult time.

Anping Fort Construction uses Local Buildings for Materials
The city of Anping, Taiwan is being partially demolished by Ai Jinn forces stationed in the area to provide building materials for a new fortification being built on the coast nearby. Thousands of refugees have fled to other nearby towns to escape the destruction that eye witnesses report to be "indiscriminate and with no care for historical buildings".
When asked why they were being so destructive, Ai Jinn commanders replied "These are our buildings now. We will do as we please."
