Investigation: Ai -Jinn Cyberlin

Does anyone have any leads yet on this one? I have a suspicion that they might be hiding/building it in space, given they have already orbitaly inserted one cyberlin and there is plenty of room up there to hide something of that nature. I have some spaceships that can be used to check out any leads we can dig up if my suspicions are correct.

If they are building something like that in space, I guarantee they'll have had to ship up specialist parts and prototypes up. This is supposed to be the Ai-Jinn's ultimate cyberlin, so every bit of tech they have will be on it, same as SY and WF. Once I get a chance, I can start scouting the Cyberlin yards of Shanghai, see if I can grab a mid level office drone that point me in the direction of somewhere we can get coordinates. It might also be worth looking into the space ports, if we could get data from them, maybe spot some unusual deliveries, that would be a big help to the cause.

Investigation Leads:

I'm looking into some local shanghai administration buildings for the SCC. If I can find one, I should be able to get in, find a mid level office drones terminal, jack a data leech in and see if we can't spot some irregularities in shipments, maybe find something pointing us to where they're constructing the entry cyberlin.

I could use the following: More help with surveillance this week so that I can find the location and prepare for next week better
A hacker would be preferable to a data leech.
Someone with the personal skills to maybe get us talked into the building?

I might be able to give a hand. A hornet drone could manage the hack if the leech isn't enough. Could always find a way to sneak in...

Wait, Hornet drones can hack?

If you use the non assassination ones, yes.

But unless the Hornet's A.I. or computer and A.I. score have increased since manufacture, then the Hornet and data leech will be equivalent at the task.

While I don't have the best personal skills I do know how to use my UIG given authority to get what we need. (Read: command training). It might be an idea for me to inquire into purchasing a Cyberlin of my own as a way into somewhere and I've got Hacking skills if required.

Considering the sort of data we're looking at is likely to be domestic off an admin terminal, Hacking Scout Powder might well be viable.

Lets see what Enrique and I get back and then we'll plan week 60 accordingly.

Current investigation: We're hedging our bets that we can pick up clues to distribution of unusual parts or prototypes at a facility operating under either Shanghai Cyberlin Concern or Pan Lee.

Myself and Enrique are investigating SCC.
Fenris is investigating Pan Lee.

Next Week (Week 60) we should be ready to slip in and extract the relevant data. Then we can go over it and hopefully find out where to look for the really juicy data.

God damn it. Data leeches were useless. We've proven that we can get into the SCC, and since we didn't get caught (and now have plenty of information on the internals of the building, plus where the surveillance is, getting in a second time should still be possible.

But I can't progress this investigation without a hacker. I need a hacker next week. This is Top level priority. A stealthy hacker would be much preferred.

But seriously, I can't stress enough how much I need a hacker.

Don't have that long. If we leave it till then, we'll have no time to actually investigate the location we find. We'd be going in blind.

okay, the original plan had been to raid SCC's low priority stuff and use that to find out their cyberlins important secrets. What we instead stumbled on was a method of raiding their mainframe for ALL of the Shanghai Cyberlin Concern's secrets.

The mainframe is defended by an AI, which also manages the entirety of the SCC's security forces. Place too much strain on one task, and the other suffers. For example, a decent hacker could prevent it satisfactorily managing its small army of security professionals.

More pertinent to our requirements, however, is that a series of alerts across the SCC from, say, seemingly randomly scattered explosive devices designed to cause lots of noise and panic but little real damage (avoid civilian casualties at all costs) would distract the Mainframe significantly from resisting a hack attempt.

Of course, if anyone felt like turning a bunch of Cyberpunks at the place on the day of the attack, that would also be incredibly useful to our purposes, and would also likely help cover our escape quite well. Just a thought.

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I can't think of a better place at the moment. If none of the hackers are available for this mission, could we use one of the ones in the oracle HQ? I don't know if they would be good enough, or if they would be physically up to the task of this kind of mission. Or, if possible we could get some kind of thing that lets them hack remotely.

Where did we leave Keith? This is basicly what we was designed for.
