Military Sign - Posponed Indefinatly.

I have come to the realisation recently that out organisation is presently made up of a number of solo operatives who come together on occasion to perform missions. Some of these missions have had people on them who were underutilised or possessed a significant disadvantage due to not yet possessing cybernetics that we all use such as vision sharing. As part of a global initiative to combat these issues and to create a better sense of company unity I am offering to teach a basic version of the Military Sign used in the Western Federation that is suitable for Oracle Agents. I cannot promise to teach all of WF Sign as like most languages it takes several months to fully master but I can ensure that we will have enough of the basics delivered in a way that will suit the purposes of our multicultural organisation. It will defiantly be enough for you to understand what WF agents are signing.

Training will be in the Oracle compound and will be for 2 hours three times a week for 4 weeks. Due to the nature of the training everyone will be learning together and while it is possible for sessions to be missed it would be better for everyone if everyone could attend. As such if these timings are unsuitable for the majority then I’m willing to reschedule. This is an intensive course so most sessions must be attended for you to get the full benefit.

[Mechanically Matt has ruled that Military Sign requires 10 xp to learn due to how specialised the language is and it also requires a teacher. He has also ruled recently that one could spend 1 major action or 4 minor actions learning the language at a cost of 5 xp, again with a teacher. As Major actions are so important I wouldn’t ask everyone to give up one for a week unless people would prefer to do it that way rather than 4 minor actions.

Slight change of plans.

Due to the situation in Keelung at present it looks like I'm going to be there for week 36. Therefore I offer the choice, either we can postpone the course until the situation is resolved, or we could all go to Keelung and you can have on the job training.

It depends on how my mission goes, but I would like to learn ASAP.

I would prefer to postpone. I have things to do here in Seoul, and doubt I would be especially effective in Keelung.

Are you gonna start lessons this week?

Yes. Military Sign lessons begin week 37 and at this point will cost a minor action. I'll meet up with anyone who wishes to learn at the Oracle HQ building. At the moment I only have Marj and Xu confirmed. Does anyone else wish to attend? I highly recommend people do, as WF sign is most useful if the whole division has it. If transport is an issue I can arrange a private jet to collect people and can start the lessons on the wing to save time.

If people are worried about committing to four weeks of training I'm willing to spend longer myself so that people can dip in and out if absolutely necessary and due to world situations I cannot necessarily guarantee being available on any given week myself.

Given recent situations, including Keelung, Madrid and Phoenix, this training has been postponed until further notice. Also I had rather hoped for a better uptake than two people. There isn't much point in having Sign if only 4 people know it. I will try again when things have calmed down and everyone is more able to join in.
