Welcome to EI-TG 2549

EI-TG 2549 is being held in Hamburg. This event is a celebration of fine craftsmanship and elegant design (except for the Singh corporation, but they try so hard), so please dress nicely and act in a refined manner befitting such a display of art.

The following companies are represented here this year:

EI companies
EI car manufacturers are an amalgamation of centuries of luxury car building knowledge. The EI make the finest in cars, vans, boats, jets and even shuttles. This quality does not come cheap and most vehicles have an over abundance of extras that make them less desirable for agents, who generally look for reliability and functionality above comfort.

Lynx - Known for luxury cars for business executives. They are the most accessible of the EI car companies to the 'working' man.
Lombrati - Italian firm specialising in fast, powerful and well sculpted sports cars, bikes and private jets.
DMV- An EI think tank from 200 years ago that decided it would go out and form its own business rather than monitor the market. The letters used to stand for Department of Motor Vehicles, but now they hold no meaning. DMV creates iconic concept cars and one off creations that are years ahead of their time. Even Oracle agents will be hard pushed to buy these vehicles.
AntiGrav - Specialists in anti-grav craft. They make one-man sports vehicles, family sized transports and even sky yachts. They even trademarked the name, despite stiff competition from Shi Yukiro.

Ai Jinn Companies

Hong Kong Autometrics - rugged, hard working vehicles with lots of armour. Agents swear by their vehicles, but the common public doesn't have much use for them.
Tai-Lan - Tai-Lan make military vehicles, but some of their products are also aimed at the civilian market.
Kalari- The most famous company that makes sports cars. Kalari is synonymous with speed, excitement and quality. Their entire display area is concealed by white boards and no one knows what they are going to reveal at the event.

Western Federation Companies
WF vehicles are more functional than EI vehicles, but more comfortable than most Comoros designs. They are not as well armoured as Ai Jinn vehicles, but often much nicer to drive and packed with more useful extras for agents.

Cadillac- An entire company, not just a single car model. They make large, WF styled vehicles for the everyday driver. A surprising number of EI staff buy these vehicles because they don't want the fancy extras and expense of EI cars.
Serpentine- They focus on vehicles for agents and the military, but not military vehicles. Many Serpentines are rugged all terrain cars, but they also make bikes, vans, trucks and some anti-grav craft. All their vehicles are named after snakes.

Comoros Companies
Cheap, afforable vehicles for the masses are the order of the day. Comoros has a hard time competing with the mass production of the Ai Jinn factories, but they can cater for specialist civilian markets such as compact, two person vehicles and alternate fuel sources.

Singh- An Indian businessman's car manufacturing branch. Singh cars are cheaply made in Comoros territories by a large number of factory workers instead of machines. The build quality is not amazing, but Singh cars are often very efficient and are always cheap.
Imoto- Based in South Africa and focused on all terrain vehicles. Imoto cars are renowned for being able to traverse deserts, actic tundra and for some models, mountains. They make the world's finest rally cars.


Shi Yukiro Companies
Shi Yukiro make a surprising number of motor vehicles, but most are for their own market. Some models are exported and are famed for being efficient and well designed vehicles. Recently, SY companies have been dominating the anti-grav vehicle market because of their hitech production facilities.

Mirai- makers of anti-grav bikes and cars. They specialise in sports models that can reach quite silly speeds, but also handle very well.
Hidaki- manufacturers of a wide range of products, including robots and cars. Their cars are very fuel efficient and comfortable, but lack the raw power or elegant appearances many agents look for.

Han arrived at the convention centre, ready and eager to get ahold of something special. Opening up the Oracle smeaker channel, he said "Hey, anyone else here? I'm outside, come say hey."

"Hey kid! Great to hear someone else here!" Ida's voice came back over the smeaker. "I'm here and I've brought Darya along too, we'll meet you in a minute." Soon Ida showed up, in the same stylish dress she wore into battle and accompanied by her replicants and Darya. "Hi," she said with a casual wave. "So, you planning on looking at anyone in particular, kid? What about you, Darya?"

"Ah, always a pleasure Ms Salcedo. Well, as much as I love my Sabrehawk, I'm looking for a motorbike that can take a few more hits. I've heard some good things about the Serpentine Rattle Snake, it's been making a lot of commotion on the net. I figure I can take that thing, customise it to my exact specifications, then it might take a few more hits for when I take it out into the field."

"I want a bigger van..." Said Darya, quietly. "Or at least something that's better to sleep in than the Mungo." She was standing close to Syl, and looked as tired as one might expect a woman with no idea about fashion to be having been stuck on a plane with Ida for a couple of hours.

"Hmmm, you make a good point. I probably ought to invest in a vehicle more suited to long distance runs. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love riding cross country at 280MPH, but theres only so many times you can wash giant bug off your visor before it starts getting really old."

Darya nodded. "Get something you can sit in when it rains. I like being in cars when it is raining outside. Just sit and listen to the sound on the roof...good way of getting to sleep." She nodded again. "I really want a good vehicle to sleep in."

Han looked wistfully at the long road. "Personally, I prefer to outrun the rain. Just leave it all behind, you know?"
