Mid to Late Week 66: Running

Silvia stood beside Fenris, all her troubles forgotten for a moment as she stared across the view, her fingers twitching with the urge to draw. "It's...beautiful," she murmured. "I'll have to come back up here with a sketchpad." For once, she seemed unaware of anything else going on, focused entirely on the cityscape in front of her.

Fenris let out a brief chuckle, though it didn't seem entirely genuine. "Are you that eager to be famous again?"

Fenris' comment seemed to jolt Silvia out of her state and she turned to her fellow Agent with a mock-wounded look. "Hey, I only get famous when I'm bad, you know. Are you saying if I try to do a picture of this," she gestured at the awesome view, "it'll turn out terrible? That's not nice, you know."

Fenris met her friends mock wounds with mock pity "It must be so hard. Being accidentally brilliant at stuff." She shook her head gently. "But seriously, these people are traditionalists. They should like your stuff without you having to stumble into the latest fad. And who knows? There must be a political critique somewhere in all of that. You might strike lucky!"

"Perhaps they would," Silvia replied, thoughtfully. "I'll have to try selling here sometime, see how it goes. And I've had enough of political pictures, believe me. Do you know, there's two different essays on that Big Ben disaster on the WDN already? And they're both a pile of total bullshit." She sounded a little sad at that. "I mean...I might appreciate it a bit more if they were actually insightful. Anyway," she added, glancing around, "should we get off here? Before someone sees us?"

Fenris looked around, it did seem to be getting a bit busier. "Yeah, probably." She didn't seem too concerned though. "Do you want to go down the inside or the outside?"

"You're meant to be the expert," said Silvia with a grin. "But hey, outside was fun on the way up, right? We could try some more of that, if you want?" She sounded quite eager at the prospect.

Fenris grinned at Silvia's enthusiasm. "OK" before Silvia could say anything else, she grabbed the rail at the edge of the tower and vaulted over it back down to the roof, landing a lot quieter than would be expected. (PRES + Stealth pass by 9)

With her smile extending, Silvia followed Fenris over the rail, though rather less stealthily. She landed a little awkwardly, producing an audible thud that had people down on the streets glancing upwards to see if they could work out where the noise had come from (Pres+Stealth is a fail by 2).

"Shit," she whispered, hoping that nobody would take too much notice of her and Fenris. "Sorry about that."

"And now we move!" Fenris said with a wolfish grin. She sprinted towards the other side of the building, where the street was slightly narrower,keeping low and quiet. She cleared the gap onto the other building and was away, whilst below they could hear a couple of perplexed people making plans to investigate the strange noise.

"Alright, then," Silvia replied with a grin, and shot off after the other Agent, keeping low and going fast. Anyone looking for her would probably have seen her, but with nobody checking her position she drew no attention to herself and was managing to keep up with Fenris, just about (Agi+Stealth pass by 1).

Fenris just kept going. The walls and gaps in her way not slowing her down in the slightest. And by the time they heard someone land on the roof behind them, she was long gone.(PER + Observation pass by 11)

Silvia followed, noticeably slower but still finding the optimal route that Fenris was following without much by way of difficulty. Though the freerunner was drawing a way ahead, Silvia still had her in sight and was keeping up a reasonable pace (Per+Observation is a pass by 4).

Once they had well and truly left the area, Fenris used the side of a building to stop her progress, and then drop into the ally way. She then waited for Silvia to catch up. As her friend reached the floor, Fenris gave her a smile. "So. Whats next?"

The ex-Shinjitsu Agent dropped down reasonably gracefully beside Fenris and gave her a smile. "Well, I guess we wander more quietly over to some other district and try the same thing there. If you're still up for it, of course," she added, hastily, not wanting to press Fenris too much.

She stepped aside, gesturing with her arm towards the street. "Lead the way."
