Week 90 Day and Mission Empty Week 90 Day and Mission

Post  James Fletcher Sun Mar 29, 2015 10:12 pm

Good day, my fellow agents!  I believe that I have a mission proposition that, should we agree to pursue it, may prove to be very interesting.

Over the past couple of weeks, I have been investigating Cult of Machina attacks on Tu-Chin nanofactories in the Ning-Bo area of China, south of Shanghai.  As of ((date corresponding to week 87)), three factories had been attacked, with the cultists causing a very uncharacteristicly high amount of damage to said facilities; there was extensive evidence of the use of large explosives, plus extensive weapons fire damage.  In addition, I discovered that none of the listed stock was taken during the raids, and Tu-Chin has not listed anything as taken or lost.  This lead me to the conclusion that either the cultists meant to destroy the factories without taking anything, or they stole something that Tu-Chin was keeping off the books.  I now believe that it was both of those things.

For the past week ((week 89)), I have been keeping two other near by facilities under surveillance, since they shared several features in common with all of the other nanofactories attacked.  My initial intention was to scout out these facilities for infiltration, however the Cult struck first.  I witnessed roughly 30 of them escaping from the burning factory, carrying a number of nanite programming machines from inside, and I managed to track them back to what I believe is their lair's entrance; a thick, armoured trap door hidden in a disused factory, likely leading to a tunnel system.

I propose that we infiltrate this Cult of Machina cell's lair and find out what's going on here.  Hopefully, we will uncover something that Tu-Chin would rather be kept quiet.

This cell appears to be very large and very well armed, so while stealth would definitely be a good idea, I recommend we go in prepared for heavy fighting.  As a side note, if there is anyone capable of piloting a cyberframe that would like to come on this mission, please get in touch; I have a very interesting prototype that requires field testing.

Well, well, well, this is very much a mission for Dani to go on.

While I am not suited to this type of mission at all, there is a cult hunting specialist among the former members of Oracle you may want to talk to about this mission, at least for advice, although I don't know how willing she would be to talk to one of us.

((OOC: This could be a possible thread between Karishma and Darya, but without specific bits of information Darya herself wouldn't come along on the mission.))

Would Tuesday 14th, 7:00pm be a good time to run the mission?

I'm sure your skill set would be beneficial to the mission, Fenris, so if you want to come then that's fine by me.
