A day or so after Han's failed museum heist, and Fenris was back from testing out her new car after she had just got it back from Phoenix. But what she was still confused about was Carmen. How could an Agent have such poor combat abilities? And why would the CEO hire one who did?There was definitely something strange going on there, but she doubted she would get to the bottom of it any time soon. It's not like Oracle kept it's Agents in the loop anymore...
But anyway. She could at least do something to get Carmen capable of defending herself. So she pulled out her PDA and dropped the russian woman a text.
Carmen, you fancy meeting up somewhere for some training? The Nuestro Juego is good, and they have a dojo connected to it, so we can get you up to scratch on how to stay alive in a fight.

Really? You didn't seem to cope that well when the Future boys started Getting stuff in, and that wasn't anything out of the ordinary for Oracle. If you're going to be going into the field with us you should really be able to look after yourself. Even when there is nowhere to run.

There was a pause now. Longer than before. Carmen was thinking before we responded.
That you find that normal is still a shock to me, but it will not be the nest time we meet. I am not sure a few hours of playing with knives would prepare me for cyberwolves anyway.

It has happened before. But the entire point of Oracle is that we break into the places other people can't. And we very rarely get in and out without encountering some resistance. Which tends to be quite strong since they are guarding very valuable information. And waving a knife around can definitely help against a cyberwolf if you're good enough. And if nothing else it could keep you alive long enough for someone else to help you out.

That is a good point. However, leave it to me to find a way to become ready for combat. Obviously being in this corporation means I must expect the unexpected.
It seems there is some call for a hacker her in the world's most famous infiltration company. I have no choice but to be prepared.

Well, I should be able to take up some of the slack soon, I just need to get some things straitened out with my AI. And being an [i]Agent[i] means you have to face some unexpected stuff. I'm just trying to make sure you don't die, what we do is dangerous, even for Agents, you just need to be prepared. Especially with the UIG.
