Week 56: Jumping out of aircraft is apparently fun.

Oracle’s hanger door was open. Not only was the front door open but the roof had already been slid back and Ace was sitting in the cockpit of the Oracle helicopter dressed for the occasion in his flight-suit. He didn’t want to hold anyone up when they finally arrived so he was going through the pre-flight checks now, to ensure everything was up to scratch. He had a little bit of time until the others were supposed to arrive and he intended to use them productively.

Along one wall of the hanger a table had been set up on which were a number of flight suits of the one size fits all verity, as well as pairs of slim goggles to keep the rushing air out of peoples eyes.

So far this event seemed to be going well, barring the minor hiccup earlier. Fenris had met several new people, and was just drunk enough to not feel horribly awkward around them. She looked very excited as she entered the hanger, walking at quite a fast pace. "Hi, is that you Ace? Nice helicopter."

Han shouted over to the helicopter. "Hey Ace! You ready to get this show on the road or what?! His voice was jovial but calm and steady, very clearly sober and deliberate in its diction.

Hugo was moderately less sober, but whole minutes had passed and Hugo had been sipping Enerbriated, everyone's favorite soberizing energy drink. Okay, it wasn't for agents, but it was helping. He no longer needed to lean on Silvia for stability, for example.

Patting Una reassuringly, the massive agent meandered over to the flight suits, waving a hello to everyone. Well, mostly Ace, since everyone else had come over with him. "Jefe, hey. Any of these gonna fit me?"

Silvia followed the others, not saying anything but simply hanging back, watching. She had already said too much by accident already tonight and was resolved to keep her mouth shut. Far better to let people like Han or Hugo do the talking. Especially to somebody like Ace.

As people entered the hanger Ace emerged from the far side of the helicopter where he had been checking fuel levels and shield charge. He was holding a cloth of some sort in his hand, which was hastily shoved into one of the many pockets which adorned his Flight Suit.

"Good morning, everyone. I see you found the hanger ok. I hope security didn't give you any hassle. I did tell them you were coming. I'm all ready to go. Just finished the pre-flight checks. I keep flying her at short notice without actually doing them, which is very wrong of me, so it seemed like a good idea to check things over."

He walked towards the laid out things.

"I've got Flight suits for everyone. They've got all the practical things in them: maps, pockets, Nutribars, BingoWings. Don't worry Hugo, they come as one size fits all, which is why I got this bigger one for you. There are also parachutes for people if they are not comfortable with controlled falls. You should all suit up, I'm ready to go when y'all are."

"Awesome." Han disengaged the magnetic locks that held his armour pieces in place, and began removing them, starting with the gauntlets and working his way down with the practiced efficiency of someone performing a task that they could do blindfolded and asleep if challenged to. Finally, Han was left wearing a plain white vest and a set of combat trousers. He stowed the armour away in the locker in the helicopter and pulled on the flight suit over it.

"Gotta say, this may well be the first time I've ever gone dropsuiting for fun. Normally I'm being shot at on the way down."

Fenris strode confidently over to the Flight suits and began climbing into one, she had done this dozens of times before, and it showed. In no time, she was done and leaned against the side of the helicopter, waiting for the others to finish. "You do seem very organized, but that's about what i expected from the reports I read." She then stopped to consider something, before turning to Hugo "Is Una coming with us Hugo?" Fenris was curious to see how nukey the Oracle nuke was.

Slightly off to one side, Silvia pulled one of the flight suits on. While she wasn't really familiar with them, she had worn them - or something similar at least - a couple of times before, so it didn't take her long to get used to it. Once changed, she took a few experimental steps, getting used to the looseness of the suit, and looked over at Fenris, who seemed to be taking charge.

Hugo nodded to Ace while signing his grateful thanks, or at least prompt acknowledgement. He turned to the wolf-faced woman as she spoke, small smile on his face.

"Of course!" Hugo laughed at Fenris' question, placing Una gently at his feet before shrugging off his jacket. "If I jump in any combat situation, I jump with her, so we may as well both get used to it, just in case." He winked conspiratorially if just slightly unsoberly at Fenris, and began to get dressed hurriedly.
