Week 5 Debriefing

Post  Admin on Sat Feb 18, 2012 2:34 pm

Part 1

The final results of the mission are still being decided, but until then here is the debriefing for what has happened so far.

A Tracer Li warehouse was scouted out and found to be very unusual. The group decided to strike the base before the scientists working there left for the weekend, so they could not take information away with them.
Preparations for the strike included scouting out the area for alternate entrances, one of which was found several blocks away. A sewer entrance with a large number of warning signs led to both an alternate entrance to the warehouse and a large nest of cult of machina.
A large explosive was planted inside the cult nest and triggered when the group activated the alarm at the front door of the facility. Today's lesson was to always have a security bypass device available for dealing with chip-locked doors.
The group killed one guard and knocked another unconscious, then detonated the bomb in the cult base. This levelled a significant area of the street and brought down a couple of buildings. Final casualty count is still incoming.
A secure door at the back of the warehouse led to a cult of machina controlled area with a cult surgeon performing some kind of procedure on an Ai Jinn agent called Quian Mue. The team, minus Darya, escaped the warehouse through the underground tunnels and then called an Alibi company for assistance. The Melenbrach soon arrived to investigate the area and took Darya in for questioning. Some of the group were seen by the UIG collecting the Mungo van. Mue was taken to a Two Snakes hospital and stabilised before being returned to the HQ for questioning.

The information to be sold is still being decided on.

Part 2

Information put up for sale
The information has been split up into packages for sale as shown below:
Pictures of Tracer Li labs
Pictures of Cultist Doctor at work
Business Data
Science Data
Random Cult cybernetic parts

Comments from CEO Lee
I would prefer it if there were no more infiltration missions that resemble terrorist attacks in the future. This goes double for the city of Shanghai and triple for anything that levels a tower block. The UIG have contacted me to say they will be gentle with this one, because the cult was involved and no one likes having a nest of chimeras in a populated area. Consider yourselves lucky that so few people died in the blast and that the Ai Jinn haven't declared war on us for levelling yet another chunk of their real estate. And before anyone starts with the cute "But the cult did it" line, don't bother. Quite against my desires I am becoming quite an expert in spotting Miss Terrahaute's handiwork.

Information Sales
Tracer Li bought the science research back from us without letting it go public. It seems that they don't want their competition to know exactly what they are up to, and they don't want the UIG to know they might be using live, unwilling test subjects. The other data was bought by a set of varied sources:
Pictures of Tracer Li labs - Datanetica
Pictures of Cultist Doctor at work - Comoros
Business Data - Eurasia Incorporated
Random Cult cybernetic parts - Comoros

Looks like Comoros are interested in buying up any cult information going around right now for some reason. Feel free to take advantage of that, or even figure out why.
