Cyberpunks & Underground attack WF military base
The Area 51 military research base is located in Nevada in the WF territories and came under attack from a heavily armed group of Cyberpunks and Underground members. The WF is not giving any details about the attack to reporters but video footage that is assumed to have been taken by Cyberpunks during the skirmish is available on the WDN. The footage shows a team of 20-30 individuals firing on a scout-class cyberlin with heavy weapons. Bright & Sunny Media experts are examining the footage and all ready claim to have identified several explosions that were not part of the battle being filmed, but were instead from other parts of the research base.
The Cyberpunk footage cuts off shortly after a plasma cannon on the cyberlin fired in the film-maker's direction.

WF mobilize military forces worldwide
In a move that is being linked with the Underground and Cyberpunk attack on Area 51, the WF is mobilizing its military forces across the world. All border patrols, security forces and even internal security staff are being put on full alert and all leave for military personnel has been cancelled. Even units in the Eastern Bank are taking steps to increase their battle readiness.

Madrid Spire split in two! Fighting breaks out!
A broadcast has been transmitted from inside the Madrid spire, claiming to be from the Droid Liberation Army (DLA). The message claims that the Madrid Spire City is now under its protection and that the Cult of Machina presence inside will be wiped out to save the sentient lives within. Security droids and Cult of Machina forces have begun to fire upon one another in the Underswell and it is not clear if the civilian population in the Spire City is safe any more.
The UIG has still not commented on any plans it has to intervene.

Keelung Resistance Movement?
Ai Jinn forces based in the old city of Keelung were attacked at dawn today, allegedly by residents of the town. There are no statements from the Ai Jinn to confirm this, but UIG observation satellites detected significant amounts of weapons fire and many explosions throughout the city. Eye witness testimonies reported that Ai Jinn APCs and tanks were destroyed by heavy weapon fire, devastating explosions, and in at least one case by "Being thrown into another tank, like, as if it was a super hero comic or something."
The UIG has said it will issue a statement on the matter within the next fourteen days.

Miss Solar System Contestants head to Varstaag to compete in Final
The EI sponsored final for the Miss Solar System beauty contest will take place on Vaarstag in 3 weeks (Week 36). The competition is open to genetically female contestants from anywhere in the solar system and it has taken two months to find the final fifty contestants. Although entrants are independent, it has become common practice for the media to provide nicknames for them, often focused on their corporation or geographical origin. The favourite to win the competition this year is "Miss London", also known as Lara Kingsley, an EI Corporate agent who has been given leave to take part in the contest.
Miss London is also notable as being the first finalist in the competition's history who was not born female. Extensive genetic, cybernetic and surgical procedures were used to make Mr. Kingsley into the new Miss London over the last ten years at an undisclosed cost. When asked about the changes Miss London stated "Perfection doesn't come cheap honey, or easy." and then gave this reporter a very seductive wink.
